23 Years

Today, I celebrated 23 years at my job! I was 19 when I started there as a secretary, then promoted to Director of Administration, and then Vice President a few years ago.

We went to Red Lob*ster for lunch and my co-workers gave me these cards and some cold, hard cash!

This card plays "The Best" by Tina Turner. Very cool!

My sister made this card for my Mom to give to me. Mom came in to volunteer 21 years ago and we hired her as our Director of Membership Services. She retired in June, came back to help us out when the girl I hired to take Mom's place quit in November, and just retired again yesterday!

It was a fun celebration! No one thought to bring a camera. =( But I'll have the memories with me.

23 years in one job! That's amazing in this day and age where people move from city to city and job to job! 7 years is the longest that I've held one job and I'm really not a job hopper.

Congrats to you for moving up the rank throughout the years!
