This Weekend, I....

didn't do much!

I did make some hamburg vegetable soup on Saturday and it tastes so yummy! I did two loads of laundry and still have more to finish.

The Alvarez's invited me over for dinner on Saturday evening. Scott made steaks on the grill and we had potatoes, corn, and broccoli and rice. Plus, they gave me a steak to take home, which I had for dinner tonight.

On Sunday, I taught Sunday School, went to church, and then met my parents for lunch at the Lisburn Fire Hall for BBQ ribs and chicken. When I got there, a couple from my church, Leon and Effie Mae, was eating with them! Effie Mae runs the preschool VBS and I helped her the past two years and she and Leon sometimes go out to eat with us singles on Sunday. Mom started going to the Happy Homemakers group that Effie Mae participates in and she knows the Gingrichs from Grace Baptist! Small world.
I got my Sunday afternoon nap in and that's about it. I watched TV Sunday night - Extreme Makeover Home Edition and Undercover Boss.

Then it was back to work today. I don't have much planned for weeknights this week, which is nice. Our On Mission Celebration starts on Saturday with a dinner and rally at my church. I'm looking forward to seeing my youngest sister and her family on Sunday for their hometown parade!

Wow! It's been more than a year!

I can't believe it's been more than a year since I posted something on my blog! I really want to try to do better at posting, but with being able to catch up and keep up on Facebook, I will have to make it a priority!

Here's a picture of my nephew, L, who was born 9 weeks early on 3/19/09. He's now almost 17 months old and is just adorable!

I need to get some recent pictures of all my nieces and nephews. They're growing up too fast.

Here's a picture of my nephew, B, who turned 8 on 7/23. The family celebration was on 7/25. My Dad is also in the picture. He's had some health issues (first stage of COPD), but is doing well, for which I'm thankful! B's cake was chocolate, as you can tell from his shirt! LOL
